November 2005 - Posts

News Reporters,

Our first meeting for December will be on November 30th, at 10:30 in Room 12.  Here are some ideas for things to write about for the December issue of the Jr. Seahawk News:

  • classroom news - what have you been up to?
  • field trips - have you been on any? what were they like?
  • holiday events - are you doing anything special in class for the upcoming holidays?
  • vacation plans - write about your own plans, classmate plans, your teacher's plans for the vacation

To write your report, click on "Feedback" below. Scroll to the bottom, and write your first names and room number in the "Name" field. Write your report in the "Comments" field. Then enter the code, and click on "submit".

Tip: you might want to write your report in Word first, and then copy/paste it. That way, you can write more :)

Please try and include a joke for the holiday season...like maybe a reindeer joke, or a Santa riddle...? There are lots of them around! I'll show you some good joke links at the meeting. Include a good joke/riddle in your December report by next Wednesday, December 7, and you'll get a little tasty treat! - Mr. Ahlness

The November issue of the Jr. Seahawk News (volume 15, issue 3) will be distributed to students at school today, and it is now online as well, at http://www.halcyon.com/arborhts/jrseahaw.html  Congratulations to all reporters - who posted their reports online, for the first time! Happy Thanksgiving! - Mr. A.

Hi News Reporters,

You did a wonderful job last week entering your reports on this blog! We even had a fifth grader send his in from home! Thanks to the older reporters who helped the younger ones with typing.

I'll take your reports and put them in our usual newspaper form, with some activities - like a crossword or a word search - maybe a picture to color... we'll see.

The November Jr. Seahawk Newsletter will come out on November 23rd, the day before Thanksgiving. Thanks for your good work! - Mr. A.
